Hierve El Agua

An Almost Surreal Gallery

During my week in Oaxaca I had the opportunity to visit Hierve El Agua, which is a set of rock formations in the mountains, 70 kms east from Oaxaca City. The site has petrified cascades made by minerals coming from spring water. Through the years, the minerals have impregnated and filtered the soil, making it transform into a beautifully painted canvas, but also into a natural infinity pool where you can even swim. The views are simply stunning, it is almost surreal!

Do not hesitate to visit this gorgeous place on your next trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. If you do, make sure to book a tour, the road to get there is bumpy and very steep. Better to be safe with a tour guide! Enjoy these pictures I took and follow me on instagram to see more!
