An Instagrammer must-take picture in Bali
It’s no secret that Bali has become one of the top destinations of travelers around the world in the last few years. Many attribute this to the Eat, Pray, Love film, but the truth is that Bali attracts so many tourists yearly because it’s paradise on earth. Its laidback atmosphere, jaw-dropping beaches, exuberant nature & welcoming people make you feel pure joy.
But to be honest, many of us also visit Bali to get incredible photos. The scenarios are so amazing I just couldn’t stop snapping. But there’s one picture in Bali that stands above all, and that’s the one with the Balinese gates.
Actually, there are many places in Bali where you’ll see gates like these, as they are part of the Balinese architecture. With no more yada-yada, where can you take this picture?! The answer is Handara Golf Course. That’s right, maybe you thought it was a temple or a sacred monument, well sorry to disappoint, but it’s only the golf course entrance.
In order to get there, it’s better if you book a private tour because it’s located on the north side of the island, in Buleleng Regency. Most tourists stay in Seminyak, Badung Regency, or in Ubud, Gianyar Regency, about 1 hour and a half away, maybe more because of Bali’s traffic. You may also rent a scooter if you’re feeling adventurous or negotiate a taxi fare.
Other things to have in mind:
- Wear light clothes as Bali has usually hot and humid weather.
- The owners now have set a fare to take the picture of about $2USD per person.
- It may be crowded when you get there, so you’ll have to wait for your turn.
- Consider visiting Jatiluwih Rice Terrace (better than the one in Ubud) as it’s on the way.
- Also, visit Ulun Danu Beratan Temple which is close by.
